Your date of birth is the one number in numerology that never changes. Date of birth numerology reads it in four ways: the day, the full total, the grid and the current year.

The grid uses every non-zero digit of the date, plus the Bhagyank, plus the Mulank when the birth day is 10 or more. Schools differ on this; a consultation reads the full chart with your name.
Four readings from one date
The day of birth (Mulank). Born on the 14th? 1 + 4 = 5, so your Mulank is 5, the number of Mercury: quick, communicative, restless. The Mulank is how you behave day to day.
The full date (Bhagyank). Add every digit of the date of birth. For 14-08-1990: 1+4+0+8+1+9+9+0 = 32, and 3 + 2 = 5. The Bhagyank, or life path number, describes the direction your life takes and the lessons it brings.
The Lo Shu grid. Each digit of the date is placed in a fixed 3x3 square. Numbers that appear more than once show strength or excess. Numbers that never appear are missing numbers, and they often explain recurring difficulties.
The personal year. Your day and month of birth added to the current year give a number from 1 to 9 that describes what this year supports: starting, waiting, building, finishing.

Why the name still matters

Which date should I use if my documents show a different birth date?
Use your actual date of birth. If your official date differs, mention both; the actual date is read as your chart.
What if I do not know my exact date of birth?
Name numerology can still be read, but date-based numbers cannot. Share whatever you know and Anuraag ji will advise.
Is birth date numerology accurate for twins?
Twins share the same date numbers, so their names carry much of the difference between them. Both names are read in the consultation.
