The grid uses every non-zero digit of the date, plus the Bhagyank, plus the Mulank when the birth day is 10 or more. Schools differ on this; a consultation reads the full chart with your name.
Your personal numbers
Personal numerology works with a small set of numbers that belong only to you:

Personal Numerology: common questions
Is personal numerology the same as a horoscope?
No. A horoscope uses planetary positions at your time and place of birth. Personal numerology works only from your date of birth and name, though each number is linked to a planet.
Do my numbers change over time?
Your Mulank and Bhagyank never change. Your name number changes if you change your name, and your personal year changes every year.
Can I get a personal numerology reading for a family member?
Yes. Send their full name and date of birth. For children, a parent attends the consultation.
