Why names are corrected

Your date of birth gives you a Mulank and Bhagyank that cannot change. Your name has its own number. When the name number is ruled by a planet opposed to your date of birth planets, numerology holds that the name works against your nature. Correction brings it back into agreement.

Step 1: calculate the current name number

The name you use is totalled in the Chaldean chart. For example, "Amit Kumar":
AMIT: A 1 + M 4 + I 1 + T 4 = 10
KUMAR: K 2 + U 6 + M 4 + A 1 + R 2 = 15
Total 25, reducing to 7.

Step 2: compare with the date of birth

Suppose Amit was born on 01-06-1991. Mulank 1 (Sun). Bhagyank 0+1+0+6+1+9+9+1 = 27, which reduces to 9 (Mars). The Sun and Mars are friends, so this chart favours 1, 2, 3 and 9. A name number of 7 (Ketu) does not sit comfortably with the Sun. The name may be worth correcting.

Step 3: find suitable spellings

Options are tried that keep the name recognisable:

Ammit Kumar: AMMIT = 14, total 29, which reduces to 11 and then 2 (Moon). Friendly with both the Sun and Mars.
Amit Kumaar: KUMAAR = 16, total 26, which reduces to 8 (Saturn). Saturn is opposed to the Sun and Mars, so this is rejected.
Amitt Kumar: AMITT = 14, total 29, again 2.
