Ask Anuraag ji about this chart

The grid uses every non-zero digit of the date, plus the Bhagyank, plus the Mulank when the birth day is 10 or more. Schools differ on this; a consultation reads the full chart with your name.

The grid

The numbers are always arranged in this fixed order, in which every row, column and diagonal adds up to 15:

Each digit of your date of birth is written in its square. Zeros are left out. In the Indian method, your Bhagyank (life path number) is added, and your Mulank is added too when your birth day is 10 or more.

What the grid shows

  • Numbers present once: balanced qualities
  • Numbers present more than once: strong qualities, which can become excess when a digit appears three or more times
  • Missing numbers: qualities that need conscious effort, and the focus of remedies
  • Planes: complete rows, columns and diagonals that show combined strengths

Planes of the Lo Shu grid

Plane Numbers What it shows when complete
Mental (top row) 4, 9, 2 Sharp thinking, planning, memory
Emotional (middle row) 3, 5, 7 Emotional balance and sensitivity
Practical (bottom row) 8, 1, 6 Practical skill, material progress
Thought (left column) 4, 3, 8 Planning and ideas
Will (middle column) 9, 5, 1 Determination and willpower
Action (right column) 2, 7, 6 Turning ideas into action
Golden (diagonal) 4, 5, 6 Material success, property
Silver (diagonal) 2, 5, 8 Wealth through judgement and patience

Names for these planes vary between schools; the numbers stay the same.
